LOVE AS A FLOWER

Love is like a flower, if not tended, it will look malnourished and eventually may die. You plant a flower with an end in mind. For example, you have this perfect picture of how you want your garden to look and you get the desired flower plant to help you achieve that aim. At first, the flower or plant you got won't look like the end you have in mind but that does not discourage you because you believe with time it will turn out to be your dream flower and beautify your garden. You water it, you prune it when necessary, you make sure it gets adequate sunlight and water, you even watch out for whatever may want to feed on it like pest and animals.
Then it starts to blossom and grow into what we want it to be, having beautiful and colorful buds. I bet people will admire it because something beautiful can't be hidden, some people may even come for advice. Remember it was not achieved in a day, the end you had in mind helped you to keep going until you saw what you wanted. Even after seeing what you wanted, you kept watering, clearing, sweeping off dead leaves, still watched out for whatever may want to tamper with its leaves and beauty.
For love to survive, just like the flower, it needs constant watering, it needs constant tendering and care, it needs a lot of support to survive, you have to watch out for it so intruders don't just cut short your dreams. Even after achieving ones aim, you need to still work at keeping what you have. You don't just see a supposedly happy couple and think they arrived there that day, love is constant work, need I say it's work throughout life, yes! Its something you allow, its something you intentionally go into with the mindset of working it out. Its not all rossy, as a matter of fact, it's not rossy and easy at first because this is a period of adapting, period of decision making, decisions that will likely hold you to the end. You don't just sit in a place expecting things to work out, and may I remind you that while working at it, you are bound to be discouraged even by your partner. That is where allowing the other party to take or constantly take advantage of you comes in. You allow all these because you have an end in mind, don't also forget to pray, with God's help, you will reach your goal.
