Love is a conscious and deliberate decision to commit ones life in totality to the service of another. The word 'I LOVE YOU' is totally encompassing it does not only mean I admire, cherish, or like the way one looks or do things but it means one can do and endure everything with the other, go through tough and thin with the other, being willing and ready to face some unexpected challenges with the other and in the long run enjoy what life has to offer together.
Not too many people understand that love don't just happen, it is a deliberate decision. One can be attracted to the other, like the other, be fond of another, or get infatuated with the other, but loving someone is a deliberate act that one gives into after a lot of consideration. This involves a 'one-in-all' decision,
bearing in mind that one is bound to face ups and downs as time rolls by testing the strength of affection involved.
Time is a major factor to confirm how strong ones love is, it should not be left to die with time as it has the tendencies to do so. Most people can't even say specifically if they love someone as they can't differentiate love from feelings. You don't feel you love someone, you either do or don't. Many of our youths find it difficult to say in one sentence either they love or do not love someone simply because the don't know what love really is. What you feel when you walk on the street and find a beautiful woman or man as the case may be is not love, its just an interest which should prompt you to move further to confirm if you can actually love such person. That is why it might be wrong to say you love someone at first sight. Its very correct that you like or admire someone, therefore take the next step in your quest to know more about the person and be sure if you can actually love the person, then other things will come into the scene. What you saw first, felt or liked about your potential love was the platform on which you stood to see and probably identify your potential love but it does not confirm that you already love the person. You don't say you love (in a romantic relationship) when you are not yet ready to go through life's journey together both in light and in darkness Its better said in any other way round. The word 'Love' in such relation has to do with readiness to sign a life-long contract. Above all, love is a sacrifice, sweet, and genuine. There is no life without Love!
